Deep Comfortable Heat Auto*Therm's unique induction field circuitry produces a shortwave frequency of 27.12 MHz that penetrates deep into muscle tissue with negligible heating in the fatty layer or bone. The unit is easy to use and offers the clinician maximum treatment flexibility, providing deep heat within each patient's tolerable limits.
Indications For Medical Diathermy Shortwave Diathermy is effective when deep heating of body tissues is desired. Beneficial effects include decreased joint stiffness, increased vasodilation, muscle spasm relief and reduced pain from ligamentous sprains and strains. Often, a regimen of manipulation and exercise is prescribed with medical diathermy to produce optimal therapeutic benefits.
Cantraindications Shortwave Diathermy should not be used in body areas with impaired circulation or nerve sensation, in individuals with pacemakers or metal implants, on metal treatment tables, or over the pregnant uterus.
