OPERATION MANUAL DUAL CHANNEL

DUAL/SINGLE CHANNEL:
COM -TENS may be used as either a single or dual channel unit. Thus, two pain areas may be treated at the same time. Alternatively, both channels may be applied to one area using an 'inferential 'pad pattern.

COM-TENS TIMER:
COM -TENS is one of the only units available to provide this option. Useful for stimulation prior to going to sleep, when after the set time COM-TENS will switch itself off.

Pocket Size outer case with hinged cover to expose electronic controls.
Hinged acrylic protective top cover flips open to expose Channel On/Off and amplitude control knobs.
Light in weight: entire COM-TEMS unit is just 135 g (battery included). Only 99 X 70 X 25 mm (3.9" x 2.75" x 1") in size.

COM-TENS MODES

Normal - (continuous) is the most often used type of stimulation. It is thought to achieve effect by closing 'gate cells' in the pain pathway' to the transmission of pain signals.

Burst - a useful extension of TENS. Burst mode increases the release of natural morphine-like chemicals (endorphins) into the fluid surrounding the spinal cord These potent painkillers often produce a sustained pain relief

Modulated - of patients who use TENS for protracted periods of time. Each surge is gradually increased in strength, held on a maximum, and then decreased for a gentle, soothing style of stimulus.

Modes

1.	Normal Mode: Adjustable pulse width and frequency, with constant repetition of pulses.
2.	Pulse Burst Mode:2 bursts per second, 7 pulses per burst, with 100Hz intraburst rate. Only the pulse width remains adjusable.
3.	Modulation Mode: Contains a gradual pulse rise time and fall time, cycling on 4 seconds, with adjustable pulse width and frequency.
	Power Indicator Lights: Lit when in use. Output Indicator Lights: Lit at channel outlet being used.
